A native of South Louisiana, Philip attended Loyola University and Loyola School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana. After a clerkship with the 24th Judicial District Court for the Parish of Jefferson, Philip served as an Assistant District Attorney for the City of New Orleans where he handled all phases of criminal prosecutions, including dozens of bench and jury trials. Following his tenure with the District Attorney’s office, Philip entered civil practice where he concentrated on insurance defense including automotive liability and premises liability.
For the past sixteen years, Philip’s practice has been primarily focused on medical malpractice defense, representing healthcare providers from an assortment of fields including emergency medicine, dentistry, orthopedics, ophthalmology, cardiology, psychiatry, home health, and nursing. In addition, he has represented medical institutions including hospitals, surgery centers, and long term acute care facilities.
Philip is a member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the New Orleans Bar Association, and the New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel.
When not practicing law, Philip enjoys celebrating the rich culture and traditions of the city he calls home.
