Leah Therio is a graduate of Tulane University (B.A., 2004) and Loyola University College of Law (J.D., 2007). She is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and Defense Research Institute. Leah’s practice focuses on medical malpractice defense. She represents a wide variety of healthcare providers including, among others, long-term care facilities, hospitals, nurses, emergency room physicians, nurse practitioners, dentists and mental health practitioners.
Leah’s practice areas further include premises liability, construction law, insurance defense and automobile liability. She regularly offers seminars on compliance with Medicare Section 111 reporting and lien resolution strategies for litigation.
Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Leah came to New Orleans to attend college, married a local and now considers herself a native of this great city. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading and indulging in the rich cuisine of New Orleans. She heads back west whenever she can to hike and ski in the mountains of Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado with her family.
